Regular vs Special Holidays 2026

Proclamation No. 1006 established the base 2026 calendar. Proclamation No. 1189 later added 20 March as the regular nationwide holiday for Eid'l Fitr, and Eid'l Adha was separately confirmed for 27 May.

Holiday Rules in the Philippines

The President issues an annual proclamation. Eid dates are added through separate proclamations after the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos recommends the final date.
